We had a good early season turnout for a team ride today (masters team with a couple of honorary masters thrown in:). We left from stowe and did the Wed night loop. I was amazed at the good conditions of the roads. Thankfully Bill had to take a leak right on Oak Hill -- so we had an easy time up that one! There was one guy on asingle speed, I didn't catch is name -- he kept apologizing for sprinting ahead to get a head start on all the steep sections ...problem is he didn't need the head start!
Anyway, the real reason I posted this is to say that it was great that everyone rode so sensibly. Really good base miles. base miles = not too hard but not too easy either. We're all a long way from racing fitness (and weight) but everyone there seemed to have done a good job of maintaining some base fitness. Great job!!!
