Sat 3/29, 1PM @ Berlin Park and Ride
Several of the Cat4 team have been discussing trying to get together for a "get to know you" ride.
Saturday's looking dry(ish) and in the 50s, so we thought it might present a good opportunity to gather at the Berlin Park and Ride and head up to do a lap or two of the Harvard RR course. From the P&R, I'd expect a 1:30-2 hr ride time. I plan on riding from my house in Westborough, so if anyone wants to meet up on the way, let me know.
While the hope is that we'll get a number of the Cat4/5 racers to join us, anyone is welcome. The ride will be brisk but "no drop" (meaning that you might get dropped, but we'll wait for you at the next turn). We may change that for at least part of the time on the course, depending on how people feel.
As always, check the forum before leaving your house. If the weather changes for the worse, I'm not going to ride 3 hours in 50 degree rain.

I'm a lowly Cat5, but I'd be in. Earlier might avoid more chance of rain, but I'll be there either way.
I would be riding from Northborough, so I could meet you wherever you pass through.

I've got an AM conflict. Earliest I could do is 1.

I could be convinced to do an earlier one starting out of Stow Plaza. If anyone has interest, don't hijack this thread, start a new one...

Sounds like a hijack to me.rusto wrote:I could be convinced to do an earlier one starting out of Stow Plaza. If anyone has interest, don't hijack this thread, start a new one...
Stefan I'm probably in, although I may be an intentional droppee as I'm planning a hard ride today. I'll post up for sure tonight after I talk to the old-lady
Re: Sat 3/29, 1:30PM @ Berlin Park and Ride
I am in for 1 at the p&r but I can be swayed earlier if needed.

Not sure if you checked the weather but rain is to start at 1PM and continue throughout the weekend.
I'm heading out at 7AM from Ashland/Hopkinton area for 3 1/2 hours or so if anyone is interested. But then again I'm a lonely Cat 5 also.

I did. Various sources range from "no rain" to "occasional showers" until aroun 5-6PM. I'd go earlier if I could, but I don't have the option tomorrow.jmorrissey wrote:Not sure if you checked the weather but rain is to start at 1PM and continue throughout the weekend.
I won't be insulted if you choose to go earlier. But if you want to entice others to join you, set up a separate thread - otherwise your alternative won't get noticed.
BTW, Cat5s: stop referring to yourselves as "lowly" or "only a" Cat5. The only difference between Cat5's and Cat4's is 10 races.

This is true. Then you can call yourself a lowly Cat 4 (BAM!)swawersik wrote:BTW, Cat5s: stop referring to yourselves as "lowly" or "only a" Cat5. The only difference between Cat5's and Cat4's is 10 races.

I'll keep that in mind. It's really just that I want to race with the cool kids someday. *sigh*.JeremyC wrote:This is true. IN; will probably do a bit of easy riding prior to the P&R meet time.

Hopefully, need to sync up with my wife.
Re: Sat 3/29, 1PM @ Berlin Park and Ride
Okay so it looks like the weather should hold through the whole ride. See you all out there.

stefan any idea when you'll be at Harvard center? I'm trying to get to PnR by 1 but may need to meet at Harvard center around 1:30ish.
