WNR 9/16 - 5:30pm @ 110 Grill, Berlin

Post by KTeves »

The weather looks perfect for riding! Sunset is just before 7, but with the clear and sunny skies we should be good.

Who's in? Route suggestions?

In, Last weeks route was nice. I'm attempting another recovery week so a steady pace like last week would also be cool :-).

Hoping to be in.

Wondering if we can run the MRC train down Sudbury Rd (adjacent to the Refuge) but it's tough to get a decent route back without repeating stuff or wrangling with parts of Hudson. Maybe someone knows some better options than me. Otherwise...something like last week would be spiffy.

Heading east for a change would be fun. Heading through Hudson wouldn't be an issue for me. I am not well versed with the roads east of Hudson though, so it would be tough for me to come up with a good route.

I'll see if I can stitch something together for consideration!

I took a look, but I'm also not too familiar with the roads in the surrounding Sudbury area. If I come up with something I'll post up for consideration.

See how this looks:

https://www.strava.com/routes/2741080736117085330

Avoids most of the busy roads and only repeats a short section. Options to trim the route if light is fading but is mostly flat so we can move along.

Doesn't matter to me. I have never ridden a nice road in Hudson though 😉

Here's my take on it: https://www.strava.com/routes/2741304790195114842

Route is 44KM / 27 miles. I wanted to head into Stow and Bolton after the ANWR on the way back, but we don't have enough daylight.

I don't care which route we choose.

Your's is more rounded....mine looks like it got pinched!

I don't know the roads south of Marlboro but you have prob ridden them before.

Let's give KT's a whirl as I think there's less turns than mine

Brigham Hill is certainly a nice road south of Marlboro and it's on KT's route.

I plan to join in the fun tonite! Know the roads pretty well between Hudson and Rt.128 but you guys already have reasonably good loop options, good with those. -JDZ

I plan on meeting en route again... That is, assuming that we are doing Kevin's route.

Looks like we have consensus on my route, so let this make it official so there's no confusion.

I just made a very minor change on the route where instead of turning off of Pleasant St. and heading to the rotary I just stay on Pleasant and connect onto Whitney. Didn't make much sense to go to the rotary.

Hey Jerry,

Is Boon St. to Randal St. by the Stow Acres CC passable / not gated?

Sorry, out and about. Yes those roads are all passable Kevin, never seen any gated roads around there... except if we head off onto a golf cart path, which could be fun!
