Sat 7 am Stow Plaza - ride to & ON Sterling Course?

Post by rusto »

Looking to do a longer ride, thought maybe ride out to Sterling and do a lap (or two) of the course and back.

Thoughts?

good times. The course is a bit rough on the descent portion of the loop. I think the carnage may come from people ducking and diving, versus the road itself. Definitely toward the front (or a little off the back) is the place to be. The peloton usually regroups at the right turn on the main road. Pretty easy to connect to the group on the beginning loops. And there is a pretty good size road sand pile toward the main road. As Russ said, gonna take a shovel to move it.

I was about 15 min's late and missed you guys. Tried to drive up to find you, assuming you'd head straight up 117, but you must have gone back roads, so I parked in Bolton and rode on. I got a couple of loops in. We'll definately need to do some shoveling/sweeping in spots Friday evening.

Tony, Scott and Gary, I don't think I have you guys down for a volunteer assignment yet. What would you like to help with. I still need people to help with registration, as well as morning and afternoon marshaling. Let me know what I can put you down for. IM me.

Thanks,

-Ian
