B2B ride next Sat
B2B ride next Sat
Hi folks. Who's doign B2B, and who wants to carpool over. I think Steve will still be in India, but I'm happy to be a driver and can take two others w/ bikes. I'm going to start with the 18mph group.

I'll see you there. Plan on starting with the 18mph group.
Re: B2B ride next Sat
I'm in as well, no ride needed. I'm debating between starting with the 18 (which I signed up for) or 20, the extra hour in bed would certainly be nice. Bring sunscreen and lots of sodium, looks like it's gonna be a hot one!
Re: B2B ride next Sat
I'll be there Saturday. I don't remember which group I signed up for, but leaving with the 18mph group sounds good.
I will probably drive in with Gary S.

18mph sounds good to me. I live by Honey Pot Hill Orchard and wouldn't mind car pooling.
Re: B2B ride next Sat
FYI...if you are debating between 20, 21, or 22+. The last 2 years they have lumped all three of those groups together because they can never get enough numbers in each.
Re: B2B ride next Sat
Although my wife thinks I need to get my head examined for doing this (she's probably right) I'm in. I think we are riding with the 17 MPH group. Kim Donovan is riding with us, and so is Mark D and a friend of his from RI. They have promised to ride 17 with us, but I'm sure they will leave me in the dust.... When you go riding by me Sweeney, I'm planning to tie a rope around your seat post for a little assist the rest of the way.

Sorry Weiler. Not this year. Sold my spot.
Re: B2B ride next Sat
Like Chad said I am in with the 17 MPH this year. If I feel good enough I will hook on to the 18mph if everyone else feels the same. As always this is the best ride of the year, cannot wiat.

In with the 18mph group or wherever the other MRC's are going.
Re: B2B ride next Sat
I am going with the 18mph group as is Della
Re: B2B ride next Sat
OK. Since everyone seems to already have a ride, does anyone leaving from metrowest vicinity have room for one more?

As a reminder I hope everyone will be in the MRC kits. Need to fly those colors.
Re: B2B ride next Sat
Surely at least one of you has recovered enough to slump over the keyboard and tell us how it went yesterday...
Re: B2B ride next Sat
It was awesome! Especially the pickle juice!

They need to sell that stuff without all the pickles floating around!

Re: B2B ride next Sat
Yeah, good times on Saturday. I could have done without the heat but it was, per usual, an awesome event. One note on their support: I had a flat at mile 30, stopped to fix it. I just about had it done when one of the support vehicles rode up. They stopped, the guy pulled out a floor pump and finished the change for me in about 10 seconds, checked the shifting and gave me a spare tube to boot. Quality all around, which is why I love this event: the ride is challenging but fun and the volunteers/support/organization of the event is second to none.
