Tues & Wed "after work" rides
Tuesday and Wednesday are looking to be really nice weather days, and relatively slow work days. So, I'm planning to punch the clock early and get in a couple of good hard 2+ hour rides. 4PM start (or possibly earlier!). Flexible on the route, but for lack of something better will likely do Berlin/Bolton/Boyston/Sterling/Harvard area.
This plan is subject to some emergency arising and therefore cancellation.
Anybody got flexible work schedule this week?? If so, post up and we'll figure out the logistics...like a start location other than my house.

Definitely for Weds, maybe tomorrow, I have a dangling appt. I need to either firm up or reschedule...

Re: Tues & Wed "after work" rides
Is a "dangling appointment" kinda like a "hanging chad"?
Re: Tues & Wed "after work" rides
In for Wednesday. Would definitely prefer a start point close to 495/90 interchange since I am somewhat time constrained. How about Picadilly Pub and head north?
Re: Tues & Wed "after work" rides
Out for Tues, still in for Weds.

Chris: 4PM at the Pic on Rt 9?
Re: Tues & Wed "after work" rides
What do you envision for route and intensity? Between today and tomorrow I need 1 really hard day so depending on your plan I may join you for tomorrow's ride.
Re: Tues & Wed "after work" rides
How about this loop? I know the roads fairly well. It could easily be made slightly longer if desired. Doug's original post called for a 2+ hour "good hard" ride, so there's your answer on intensity.... Also there's one nasty climb in the middle (Brimstone).
Start and finish point is the Pic even though there's a slight hiccup in the route on the map.....

Might do this ride. Can't fully commit.

I may try to ride from work on Wednesday and meet up with you guys on the road. Would simply ride Chris' route in reverse.

Stefan, you're running low on excuses considering we'll ride within 100 meters of both your home and work

I'm off tomorow so I may find you on the way back if I don't head out Wachusett way for one last mountain top beatdown all afternoon long. Could meet for beers though???

I'll try to be there - pending getting out of work early.
Re: Tues & Wed "after work" rides
What is the start time for Weds?
Re: Tues & Wed "after work" rides
Just a matter of whether I can sneak out early tomorrow. But, yes, that had occurred to meStefan, you're running low on excuses considering we'll ride within 100 meters of both your home and work

Out, staying in my neck of the woods. Rubber down, boys.

Did you guys ride that BikeRouteToaster route today (tues)?

I have a fire at work. I should be able to delay putting it out until tomorrow, but if I'm not at the Pic at 4PM....don't wait.

Re: Tues & Wed "after work" rides
P.s. I'm out for beer. I'm dry for 2 weeks now, and with my uptick in training volume...the lbs are dropping...like leaves in the fall.
Re: Tues & Wed "after work" rides
Will shoot to meet you guys somewhere between when you cross Rt-85 and the top of Pine Hill Rd. I'm guessing that'll be between 4:30 and 4:45.
Also, the hiccup in the BRT map near the Pic is because the junction between Connector and Lyons Streets is not open to cars. There's a barrier, but it's easy to go around on a bike.
See you this PM.
