Saturday 9am Westboro ride to Purgatory - 3+ hours

Post by JeremyC »

We should have a decent crew meeting at Roche Bros in Westboro for a 9am ride down to Sutton/Blackstone/Purgatory area. Pace should be mildly brisk but still no drop. Looking to be fairly mild, getting to the high 40s by mid-day. Expect 50+ miles and over 3 hours.

At the risk of hijacking can I request 8? I can't make 9, but of course it's not my ride either......

Normally I'd say yes to 8, but I was jumping on the wagon of another ride. Let me check with Brett from 545.

Sorry guys, 8am start got shot down, and since John and I had already committed to ride with Brett I don't want to back out now. So 9am it is, hopefully you can make it...

I am in. My Purgatory KOM should be safe on a "mild" tempo. :D
To climb steep hills requires a slow pace at first.

Great ride this morning guys... can't believe it ended up in both mileage and elevation to be pretty much exactly Battenkill. No dirt roads though ;).

@Two guys who missed us: I got an email from one of you who didn't find us. We WERE there at the Roche Bros parking lot. The issue is that we park/ride from the back of the Roche Bros. There is small parking lot and no one parks there, so we always park & ride from there. Sorry about that... next time we will try to be explicit for people who have never been on the ride before. My suggestion to you is to post on the forum that you are going so we can keep an eye out for you. We thought we had everyone.
