Saturday Douglas/Sutton loop, take two

Post by pace21 »

Sans stomach flu this week....

See the attached loop. The seemingly random starting point is a central point where we can rendezvous (for Chris B and PJ, as well as the Roche Bros crew). I'll be at that spot at 9am, swinging through the Uber Café at 9:15am, home by 1pm. Folks are welcome to start from Franklin or meet up on the road. I believe Chris B and PJ are riding from home.

In. I think I'll bail out at noon from where ever we are and head home. I'm guessing somewhere around mile 45.
PJ, want to meet at Grafton Center at 8:30?

In. Will plan to be at Chris' start point at 9.

I can roll by the Westboro Roche Bros. on my way for anyone who plans to park there.

830 Grafton Center sounds good

In. Parking at Westboro Roche Bros to leave by 8:30. Will split off back north around the 50mi point, provided I'm even able to keep up. I will not be hammering hills yet.

Lance best bet is to drive/park BEHIND Roche Bros supermarket in Westboro (see map) and let Stefan scoop you up on his way. I'll let him determine best timing....

Not sure, but I think leaving RB at 8:30 is cutting it a little close. 8:15-:20 might be better.

I'd be happy to - see note above about timing

Thinking 'in.' Are fenders mandatory?

Chris B:
Can we meet-up on Rt. 140 on way to Grafton Ctr.? I'd be coming straight up 140 from Boylston to Shrewbury.

Thanks Stefan. We'll go with the 8:15 from Roche. I'm actually not too familiar with the roads down that way, so I will be looking to follow!
Lance - welcome aboard!

Kevin T,
I'll be rolling out from my house at 8. 7 Holt Street, Shrewsbury. It's almost in Grafton, near intersection of 140 and 20.

Mark,
I'll have fenders, I've had them on all winter. Tomorrow will be a good day for them, judging by how wet today was. Hopefully someone else will have full fenders and we'll fight for who gets to follow who and who has to follow the guys with no fenders or those that are only good enough to protect the iphone in the back pocket.

Über cafe in mendon at 9:15 would definitely work. It stinks but there's just too many moving parts to switch from the original plan. Hope you can make it. Call/text with any updates 5085968290
