Saturday Morning Ride 9/6

Post by jmagro »

Does anyone have road plans for this Saturday? I'm looking to do 3.5ish hours at a conversational pace. Sprint up any hills I may come across. Could leave from Ayer or somewhere else if that's convenient for others. Shooting for a start between 8 and 9am. Let me know!

Joe, I can meet you at Harvard General Store in Harvard center at whatever time works for you and join you for a couple of hours. But I'll warn you now that you'll have to wait at the top of any hills you attack.

I'm also up for meeting at Harvard Center, although given I'll ride there, I'd hope for an 8:30 or later meet-up. Conversational pace would be good for me tomorrow. Any thoughts on where you want to go?

Harvard General Store sounds like a solid meeting place. I'll be riding there too, let's plan on meeting at 9 then. I'll throw together something 50 miles or so round trip from that location. I'm thinking probably heading southwest towards Wachusett reservoir, come through West Boylston then head towards the mountain (not up) and swing back through Lancaster. Stick to goat path type roads whenever possible. If anyone has another idea let me know, I'm sure there are roads I haven't seen yet!

I'll join you at mile 20 as it passes by where I live. I'll leave my house around 10am and ride towards you. If for some reason I'm not there, then it means I went to Great Barrington to race CX and don't wait. Happy Goat Paths

I will also be riding to Harvard which is about 45-50 minutes from my place, so I may not join you guys for the whole loop. But I know my way around those roads very well, so I can split off any time.

@Mkidd3, leaving Ayer 8:30 am so I don't end up sprinting over there. If you want, we can meet at the Wendy's on the rotary by the east side of town. That is right by my apartment

The pace on some of the hills had me talking to myself. Does that count as conversation?

And I feel compelled to mention that (for the first 2/3 of the ride I attended) Joe was never the one driving the pace on the hills, and commented to me while we were riding that he had posted the ride pace as conversational.
