WaWa

Post by tsavage »

Does anyone know if snow is off the WaWa road and/or if a rider can even get on it? Anna has a 20' power test and she's looking for a climb.

thx

Last week I heard it was "mostly" clear. Gonna guess yes. Good luck avoiding all the walkers.

i saw this morning on social that there was a little snow to walk though at the first slope crossing. north road (dirt we used for the fondo) is fine though. i went up that way a couple weeks ago.

I checked it out this morning. climbing up the North road (dirt, what we did in the fundo) is fine. You can go all the way to the summit that way. dry. doable with 25s.

If you want to do the traditional route from the ranger station there is still snow.

The up road still has snow at the first slope crossing. you'd have to walk. If I had my rasputitsa tires on I might have tried riding across it to amuse the hikers/dog walkers. After that crossing there's no more snow.

the down road has two sections of slushy snow that you can ride though, but maybe not at 40mph.

North Rd up and Admin down is a nice change up....provided you don't slash a sidewall on you way there (like I did yesterday!).

Less walkers on the back side too.
