Do these rides ever get posted on Slack? Asking for a friend.

Yes and no. This will be coming in an email from Dave but the standard procedure will be to use slack to gage interest and plant seeds for group rides but ultimately rides will be posted on the forum — the communication is a bit too fragmented on slack when there are multiple rides being planned simultaneously.

Makes sense. The forum 'auto-notify' system is either broken, unreliable, or too complicated for me to figure out. Maybe it was the 're-org' of the forum topics, who knows? Regardless, I often don't receive see any notifications about topic updates, so I don't log in. Laziness -- I've heard of it. Slack, on the other hand, pushes notifications and makes it pretty obvious when there are updates. Yes, it's not perfect, but for non-technical folks like me, it is easier to stay looped in. :shrug:

I agree the notification system on the forum has stopped working, for me at least.

FYI: I've had issues with the notifications in the past, but they were worked out and they continue to work presently.
