Greetings,
TMCC has asked that I forward this letter to all that are on the Hillclimb database.
The Board of Trustees of Tin Mountain Conservation Center has found it necessary to increase registration this year from $300 to $350. Since the last increase in 2002, costs of presenting the event and conducting environmental education programs at Tin Mountain have risen substantially. Coupled with the financial constraints that most non-profits are experiencing in these times, the registration increase is one of numerous ways that we are tackling one of the more taxing times in Tin Mountain’s 29-year history. As has been Tin Mountain’s past practice, we will endeavor to maintain a stable registration fee in coming years. The symbiotic relationship between cycling and conservation efforts at the Mt. Washington Auto Road have afforded a world-class hillclimb event, and thanks to you cyclists and over 100 Tin Mountain volunteers, critical support for school programs reaching nearly 4,000 students, nature camps for over 300 children, the community nature program series (70 each year), and much more. Your involvement is appreciated and vital.
Registration for the Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb will open on Sunday, February 1 at 8:00 a.m. (EST)
I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Let's pray 2009 is better for all.
Mary
