Carl, you are welcome to ride with me, but I have decided that I don't want to burn all my matches getting to the bottom of the climb, so I am planning on starting very much earlier than the main group so that:
1. My out-of-peak-condition old legs get a long warm-up at my own pace.
2. I get to the top of Pack at, or near, the same time as the rest of the group.
I think a 25-30 minute head start might accomplish both.

After my screw-up with syncing my Bolt and after having to let Mark and Tyler ride away on the way home I used Google maps on my phone for guidance. It was working great and even found a perfectly paved (the asphalt has definitely not seen a winter yet) back road that had a long sweet descent. But when I got to the last corner about 300 meters from the brewery, I didn't hear Siri give me the turn, which I found out when I got to the parking lot, was because my iPhone had gone into lala land. No button response, nothing when I plugged it into a power source. Totally hung. Had that happened 15 minutes earlier I might have had a much longer ride to the brewery. Wolfed down some food and a Wally and waited a few minutes for you guys, but was so spent from the ride that I headed out to hit the couch at home. Sorry I missed to post-ride fun.
