Tuesday - Wednesday Ride

Tuesday and Wednesday are supposed to be the only dry days this week.

Who wants to get some miles in with me? I'll be riding from home through Upton, Northbridge and Grafton on out to Purgatory and back on whichever day I can get some company. I might MTB the other day.

I can be home and ready to ride by 330 or 4

Anyone?

I just made a google map of the route I'm planning on. (41miles)

I think i'm game for wednesday. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow. What pace are we talking here?

My current capabilities limit the pace to just above conversational for most of you fit people.

I plan to attack the hills, rest on the downhills and cruise on the flats.
Anyone who wants to up the pace can pull as much as they want (unless I get dropped).

I figure the 41 miles will take me 2.5 hours.

If we run behind schedule I can cut the loop short at plenty of spots.

This doesn't really line up with Michaels schedule but I plan to ride Wed but will be a bit later (5 - 5:30 start) and will likely ride out of Stow. If there is any interest I will start another thread.

I can do Wednesday. I have a hill workout planned tomorrow so I may opt out of the "attack the hills" portion of your ride but otherwise I'm game.

Looks like the consensus is for a wednesday ride.
I'll do a MTB ride Tuesday and plan to do this loop Wednesday. Anyone who's coming to my house for the start should park on Gaston (my house is just around the corner at 188 W Main)
Still shooting for a 4pm or earlier start. But anything close should give us plenty of daylight.

I'm up for the Wed. Stow loop. Unless work interferes, I can make it by 5:15-5:30.

You're forgiven this time.
When we have a little more daylight things will be easier to organize.

Hoping that we can get some group rides a little further south than Stow.

I plan meet you guys on the road, probably in Upton or Grafton. I'll follow your route in reverse till we meet up. This is of course unless my legs feel like complete garbage, which is possible after punishing the quads today. I'll confirm tomorrow.

I'm also planning on joining in. Post any changes to route or starting time since I'll join along the route ala PJ.

Gary -

I probably won't be able to leave Grafton until 4 (leaving work, changing, etc) and will probably see everyone in your neighborhood. Any idea how long it will take people to get to your house on that route? I'm assuming 20-25 minutes...

Steve,
Since it looks like most people are meeting along the way, I think you are the only one meeting at my house.
I guess I'll shoot to leave at about 4, or a little earlier if we can get ourselves organized.

I plan to meet up on the road also. My house is on the planned route so if you want to meet up there and ride towards the others let me know. I'll probably plan to leave there at the same time the rest of the group departs Hopinkton.
Gary
See you around 4:00. I'll park at your house.

That's twice this year already that I've managed to miss people like that.
Rob told me that you live in the development up high by the golf course. Nothing like finishing every ride with a climb.
I realized that the cue sheet google maps put together leaves out some of those street names in that development.
I also realized that the loop is hillier than I thought it was. I might tweak the loop a little before I do it again but that was good. I need to punish myself like that some more. Actually the punishment wasn't self inflicted. Rob dished out all the punishment. I don't think it was intentional, he just goes uphill as if gravity was a suggestion, not a law.
