I'd love to go, but need to be home by 6:30 so will likely ride solo a little earlier. Tuesday at 5PM would work for me though. May be solo for that one too.

I would love to go, as long as I know the route so when I am dropped I can get home.

I am not sure I can make it at 5:00. 5:15 is more likely. And I may have to bail if work interferes.

5:15 actually works better for me also (I'm always 5 min late anyway). Lets make the plan, get there for 5 and be ready to roll at 5:15pm. Last week when I rode solo I left the parking lot at 5:30 and still managed to get 30 miles in before the daylight had dropped.
Pattie, We will no doubt go past your house en route so you won't get too lost. Anyway the chances of us dropping you are pretty slim

I am going to try and make it but don't wait for me.

was planning on taking the limiter off on the climbs today

But my dad's headed down to MGH for a cardiac procedure and it probably wouldn't go over well if I blew it off for a ride. If I'm back earlier enough, I'm in. But don't wait.

Thanks for beatdown everyone! JS, I like that paceline drill, let's do that again next time out.

Scott,
Yes it was a good ride tonight. Perfectly timed to beat the rain.
On the group riding. I call it "wheeling about" US cycling lingo seems to be "double pace line". The route is a little hilly for it to work the whole way but now we have everyone comfortable with what they need to do we can use it between the hills and start to work on picking the pace up. If you get in a break with 4 or 5 other guys and you can keep everyone pulling through smoothly you will keep your gap.
John.

Let's stick with "double paceline" - doesn't sound so much like a move in the Highland Fling.

That's what the Hagan ride used to be like. 3+ hours, double paceline. elbows rubbing. each person stays on front for 10 mins -- 5 mins on left then 5 right. Time goes fast!

I'm up for the same again tomorrow (wed 4/8)
5:15 ready to roll at Stow.
I spent most of monday close to the bathroom with a stomach virus (or was it that subway after the Battenkill ride?) so I will also be keeping it sane.

I opted for a 20 mile ride at noon. Dress warm - it is deceivingly raw out there.

That was SUPER FUN! Thanks everyone for a great ride. I think next week's lesson should be on how to do breakaway's

Agreed. My new goal is to hold Mike's wheel for the entire ride!

That's easy. Just stick on Michaels wheel.
If you and Della bring your road bikes we can go through some scenarios so you are ready to dominate at the Quabbin.
