Anyone ever done this before? Is it a pretty good ride? I was thinking about giving it a go, even though I probably wouldn't be able to walk for a few days after...

Great ride. Good scenery. Some "New England" pavement issues along the way. You don't want to be tucked too tightly in someones draft on some of those roads. Lots and lots of UP.

I think that the best way to do it is to work the climbs and cruise/recover on everything else. There are usually plenty of MRC members on this ride.

chad -- done it many times, both the century and the metric. the century is hard -- it finds every possible climb between here and WaWa and back again. it has been very hot each time I've done it, but there are several stops with food and water. The ride is pretty well supported, well marked and very well attended. I've always had a good group to ride with. Overall, it is a great challenge. Have fun.

Chad- I was going to suggest this after we rode this morning- but i forgot to. I am signed up for it. I have ridden it many times officially and unofficially- at least 20 times. As Bruce and Michael- says- it does have a lot of UP - but it also has a lot of DOWN:) Many MRC folks ride. It is a rolling start from CCHS on the morning- so thats good- get there, get your wrist band and take off. If it is a clear day- the view from Wachuestt is great. The backside descent pavement leaves a lot to be desired (hopefully it is redone)

Chad- a fall century to do is the CRW one- from Acton Boxboro High School - http://www.crw.org/FallCentury.htm
The first 30 miles are rolling to easy- the middle 35-40 are hilly and the final 30-35 really scream.......... great time of year also (mid September)

Welling LaGrone and I rode the C2C route, starting at Atkison Pool, early last October. A much more agreeable climate for such an effort... and the views were greatly enhanced by fall foliage.

Thanks all. I think that based on how challenging it seems, I might pass this year. It's the weekend between two triathlons I have planned, so the schedule is not good.

Mark - the one from AB in September sounds really good though. I'll plan on doing that one for sure.
