Radar shows them on the way - but they might clear out by 6 p.m....
I'm in but will leave golf clubs at home:

The radar lies! Yet another missed ride opportunity... My new rule is that unless it shows red on the radar I'm going to ride.

Just remember that no matter how much it rains out here... you could have it worse.
You guys reminded me of an illustration that a friend did several years ago. It's called "Oregon Spring"
Some of you might know of Bill Cass. He designs all of the "Lance specific" cycling gear at Nike. He was a local phenom cyclist before he moved out to Oregon to be a designer at Nike. He also became a bigtime junior development cycling coach out there with lots of national titles on the track and I think on the road as well. He coached Larssyn Staley who won a World Championship on the track.

For the record, Bob and I put in a good ride and did not get significantly rained on.
In situations like last night, I ask myself "WWJD (what would Jens do)?" Jens (Voigt) being the hardest of the pro peloton's hardmen. It does not rain on Jens, Jens sweats on the rain.
Those who backed out last night should have gone home and ridden the trainer while watching racing videos of Jens to remind them of how weak they are.
Stefan
ps. I will be away on vacation the next two Wednesdays. I guess that's not very Jens...

Does reading a few chapters in a bio on Major Taylor count?
