From the BRC site:
Tuesday Evenings
Tuesday Night World Championships (Nahanton Park, Newton): Location: Nahanton Park, Newton (Across From Wells Ave) Ride Leaves: 6:00 PM sharp Average Ride Speed: 22+ mph When: Every Tuesday night. This is a show-and-go ride geared to high intensity training. If you are looking for a recovery ride, this is not the ride for you. An arrowed, 28 mile rolling loop that winds through Needham, Dover, Natick, and Medfield. Attacking and sprinting are encouraged in order to keep the pace up. No one waits.
Info from Jeff on other thread:
Used to meet down in Nahantan park (very close to Wells Ave) but now everyone gathers at the top of the hill where Hunting & Greendale meet.
Cort, Vic, As I'm not 100% sure where I'm going do you want to meet up somewhere and ride over together? Give us a chance to warm up the legs a little before the ride.

Just realized I have one functioning bike right now, and it has 34mm rubber on it. I am instead going to head over to the Park across from Brackett Elementary School

for some CX skills and drills. Good luck to you guys, bring good legs!

Vic, Smudger, any comments on this ride since it was your 1st time? I didn't check the board before heading over so I was pleasantly surprised to see you guys. Hope you join the fun again soon.

OK I'll put my embarrassment on the board for all to see (Thanks Greg).
Ride was good fun...sort of like a race but with a little more space. Constant pressure and attacks at the front kept the group well spread out. I found myself near the front when the pace picked up after the 1st couple of miles. Feeling good, doing some work. Heard mention before the ride that it normally split into 2 or 3 groups so was happy to sit up front. After the re-paved road with all the raised man hole covers a couple of guys got off the front going up the gradual climb. I chased back on bringing the group with me. As I attach to the guys up the road the Met Life guy (thought they were part of our team???) attacked hard from behind pulling the group with him. With a total lack of recovery the anchor fell out my back pocket and I was dropped like a back smell. I chased back towards the top of the hill and caught a Cambridge rider who also got dropped. As I went by I asked if he knew the route to which he said yes we just follow the arrows. I decide to work with him a little cause we are catching back to another straggler (you were in our sights). We turn a corner and everyone is gone. The Cambridge guy takes us to a set of lights we sit at for an age cursing the fact the group obviously didn't get stopped, we turn left and then he says I don't see the arrows anymore...AARRGGG. We turn around find the left turn we should have taken and ride together to the end (where I saw you). All in all a good training ride. Nice smooth roads. Few too many turns and junctions but everyone seems to know how to handle them. Will need to come back, ride a little smarter and not get embarrassed.

Not sure what a back smell is. I'll have to do this ride sometime to experience it.

Sorry didn't mean to call you out. You didn't have to fess up to being dropped.
I've done the ride enough times to be able to anticipate the surges but I still get dropped sometimes as well.
Hope to see you there again
