Eves and I are planning to do some repeats at Flanders Road tomorrow 3/11/08
He has a workout that requires 2 sets of 3 reps of four-minute efforts
Flanders takes me about 3 minutes at full tilt when I've got July fitness. So it should fit his plan nicely considering March fitness levels.
I might not be able to do 6 hard repeats but I might as well try. I'll be doing power climbs and Todd will be trying to spin. Anyone who joins us can do the hill at their own intensity/pace.
Plan is to meet at the Picadilly Pub sometime around 3:30-3:45. I can't commit to a time before that because I never know when I'll be done at work but I should be able to make it by 345 at the latest.
Six repeats with 3 minute recoveries in between and a 10 minute rest after 3 should take about an hour plus a little warm-up and cool-down means we should be able to have a beer at the Pic by 5:15

Unless there is another Ice Road Truckers marathon on tv I may be able to make it.

Michael, I already agreed to do the "tour de chaug" with a friend tomorrow. It's his first ride of the year so I can't subject him to hill repeats. That workout sounds nice, especially the recovery drinks, is this something you meet up for weekly?
To climb steep hills requires a slow pace at first.

Bummer... I've started thinking about going down there, but the earliest I can make it tomorrow is probably 5. And like hell am I going to start a workout while you guys are pouring recovery beverages... Next time.

Probably not weekly but I get over there frequently for at least a couple of reps in the course of a ride.
If people are interested we can try to make this a semi-regular workout.

After gauging my fitness yesterday, I will be doing this workout again next week and probably a few more times in the following weeks.
PJ and Rich, If you want to join in the fun, you can pick the day. I can do Monday or Tuesday and possibly Thursday.

Tuesday is best for me... Monday is out. Thursday is possible. No earlier than 5:15.

I'll be there in the future as well since I work right down the street. Ditto on the time.
