Thursday night CRW ride

I did the CRW ride out of Hanscom in Bedford tonight. Jorge was also there. Anyone racing this season or looking for fast paceline workout should really think about adding this to their weekly schedule. Good route and a hard fast pace. There are several pace options to suit everyone. I'll probably be doing this regularly from now on.

I did the sat. morning CRW smack down. Same thing. Great training on non-race weekends.

This sounds fun and fairly reasonable for us city dwellers. Jorge had good things to say about it.

Due to day light restrictions we only did the 28 mile loop, which was just fine for me. I decided not to hang on with Smudger's group since they were too fast from the start, and with the very windy conditions last night I was looking for a bit more rest between pulls.
Funny that they guy pushing the pace in the first group at the beginning ended up dropping off and coming to the second group, which also covered 28 miles. It was fun and challenging for my current level of fitness. I ride from work to this and then home to Newton, which makes for a nice long ride with plenty of variety.
Hope to see some more MRCers next week, and I promise to wear my MRC colors so Smudger does not accuse of of training in secret :?

Jorge,

I was working from home yesterday but will normally ride out from Burlington also. We can hopefully hook up for the ride over.

Based on the phone call I had with Jorge last night...and I had to cut him off at Wednesday, I'd say he's covertly training.
