LSR Sun 6/19 AM

Post by ahamilton »

I'll be doing a 3 hour (maybe 4, depending on legs and group scheduling issues) long slow ride Sunday morning starting at Atkinson Pool in Sudbury. Start time flexible if others want to join and need to schedule around Father's Day family fun. I'll suggest 8:00 AM as a starting time for now. Looking to ride at a pretty relaxed "go long" pace as prep for the following weekend's 175 mile MS charity ride.

Russ, see you on Sunday. Bruce, I figured a lot of people would have FD conflicts, but I'll also be riding Saturday, so if you're available I hope to see you then.

Alan- I may join in- I was looking to do a long ride- and having company is much more fun..... if I am not there- just go, but I am seriously considering joining you and Russ

Does a 9:00 start work for everyone?

Thanks for the 90 minutes today - I bailed in Boylston- was not sure I had the legs or nutrition to go around and get back to Acton. I had done 50 miles by the time we met at 9 AM. My goal was to get 100 , so I turned back in Boylston and came back to Acton as flat as roads as I could find! Ended up with 101 miles- which was my goal. The trip around the reservoir would have added at least 15 ...

See you out there soon...

Yes, a most excellent ride, thanks guys! I started out with 28 miles up Oak Hill and back through Harvard before we met in Sudbury. Totaled 81 by the time I got home.

Daughter wanted to do a bike ride with me for Father's Day but I convinced her a little canoe paddling would be in our best interests. ;)
