The
Green Street descent is just not safe, Chris B mentioned Friday morning that if anyone was behind him, a car he saw backing out of a driveway woulda been a huge problem for anyone following.

Agreed, I think the whole Strava lawsuit thing centers around these.

Can't blame Strava too much for Green Street. The close calls on that road that make me cautious there happened years ago.

Agreed. You can't blame Strava. When I go fast there it is because I want to work on going fast downhill, not because I am chasing a downhill Strava segment. It has nothing to do with Strava in my opinion. It has everything to do with wanting to stay with the group you are with or that you have decided to go fast downhill in order to work on technique to prepare for a race. Honestly, I go much faster downhill in any race than I do practice.

I don't blame strava, but I wonder if green street is the best place to practice downhill race tactics, esp in a group. I'm not going to interfere with the group's fun, I'll continue to get gapped there on the FMRs and hope to catch back on across the valley floor.

I'm guessing that if you are descending to create a gap on the group, you are less likely to take chances than if you are solely going for a fast time.

I will continue to go as fast as possible down this hill, Strava or otherwise... I accept the risk, its part of the fun...
