Me: middle-aged, balding, marginally talented amateur bike racer

You: anyone who wants to ride bikes kinda fast.

Let's get together at Stow Plaza on Wednesday night for a ride. 5:30 clip-in. Standard loop. Adulation and glory to the winners of climbs and sprints. A and B groups will form on the road (if necessary).

Do it.

Given the follicular status of most of the people who have responded so far, I just want to clarify that you don't HAVE to be balding to do this ride.

I plan to be there, regardless of my follicular status.

I'll see you at the PnR at 5 (unless it's raining...)

BTW, I'm 100% in even if its raining. So anyone who wants to HTFU should meet me at the Plaza no matter what, you will have my respect and adulation.

Barring hurricane, golf ball sized hail, or swarms of locusts, I'm in. I might even be convinced to ride through the locusts.

With the temp/humidity as it is rain wouldn't be awful. In from PnR at 5. I'm planning to head back to Stow with the group and then roll from there back to Berlin. Let's TTT on "Taylor Road Return Trip" and have a go at the Strava KOM :)

From looking at the radar, I'm assuming dark jerseys?

Thanks to all who came back to make sure I was OK after my very ill-timed flat. Hanging on to Chris P's wheel when he's going full gas is extra hard when you're running with 40-50 lbs of pressure in the rear. After barely staying within 2 bike lengths for most of his pull I had already decided to get out of the paceline so I wouldn't slow it down. After I pulled off I was somewhat relieved to see that there was a bigger gap behind me than I had to Chris, so it wasn't my imagination that he was totally drilling it. At that point I still had no idea I was almost flat, but when Chris B went by he asked "Do you have a flat?" which made me realize that I was experiencing an extra cushy ride. When I looked down I saw that I wasn't to far from feeling to road directly through the rim.

Alan,
When I rolled off I heard pfft pfft pfft when you went by so thought you were flatting. Then when I saw you dropping off the line I figured you must be flatting, but there was still some air.
Thanks to Jeremy for shaming us into riding last night.
