Gents, I just got a call for riders for a Quabbin Recon/Race Sim on Saturday 4/19 at 10:30. If your racing Quabbin or any other road races in the near future I highly recommend you join. Let me know if you’re interested and I can get you added to the "keep in the loop" list.

I was thinking about doing this on my own anyway. keep me in the loop - i'm considering doing mystic velo crit, weather pending.

Sorry for the no/late responses guys, my day job is keeping me very busy these days.
Mfwest, this is the same crew/format that you did the hilltowns recon with last year, should be good.
Launch time: 10:30AM
From: The tower
Route: Same as the race, check bikereg.
Pace: I quote “We intend to ride this one hard but encourage anyone to show up and enjoy themselves realizing that the group may fragment”

update - out. my race availability is so limited, i'm going down to mystic velo crit to get one race closer to cat4 upgrade. and a good workout hopefully.

During my ride today, I spoke with two local seasoned masters who indicated this ride-a-week-before-the-race is a bit of a tradition and well attended. Wished I could be there, but it didn't jive in the family hand.
Be careful on 202 - the half assed paving job they did there last year took at beating during the hard winter will all the plowing and it is now worse than before!

Just some quick recon notes for the crew. Scott is right, 202 is all banged up. Everything seems rideable, it could just get messy if folks try to dodge the holes the plows ripped up. Thus the pinball action would start. Keep it in mind if a hole is approaching you, hop over it rather than try to swerve at those speeds.
