Always one of the best rides of the year. In if it's Tuesday. Could get complicated with rain date.

So to tie things together between the forum post and the email chain that has been circulating among some BB regulars—Chris P. is now out for 5/10 and the rest of us have decided to stay with the original date (the weather looks to be awesome :D ). I have done the BB the last two years, know the route well, and have a Garmin Edge 520 with good mapping, so I have volunteered to lead the ride. Same start time (9 AM) & location (Berkshore East ski area in Charlemont, MA)

The route can be downloaded here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/7982236

So far it looks like we have for the ride:
Kevin T.
PJ
Pat C.
Mike W.
Dave D.
John R. (probable)
JC (working on it)
Tom C. (most likely)
John M. (lurking)
Cort Cramer (lurking)

If it was after Battenkill, I'd be all over this, but I don't want to shred myself trying to stay on your wheels 10 days out. Next year count me in!

10 days is plenty of time to recover. If anything, it would be a fitness booster.

Any chance we could move clip in to 8:30 AM? My son has an important lacrosse game for his team starting at 4 PM. I figure 6 hour total ride time (including stops) is what it was last year. So, 8:30 would put us at the car at 2:30 PM which means I would come to the game only slightly late.

I could be wrong but 1 hour is definitely on the slim side for stops, a break atop Greylock, potential for mechanics, regrouping, etc. 8:30 is too early for me because of daycare dropoff but maybe we could have 2 groups?

You were probably expecting this but I'm out. I awoke today to serious post-concussion symptoms. On top of that I have a sprained wrist amongst other injuries. Doing the boondoggle in 48 hours is not in the realm of reality.

Sorry to miss you on this, Kev!

I'm fine with either start time. Barring serious mechanicals, I think 1 hour of total stops may be about right? I think the top of Greylock stop is shortest as we refuel at the bottom.

1 hour of total stops is what Chris Pare did last year from his Strava file. 4:54 saddle time, 6:00 ride time.
We don't have that many people so two groups would ruin the fun. If you can't rearrange PJ, then it will have to be 9 AM and I will miss a bunch of the game.
