FYI: I asked Vlad at the WNR what the status of the SMR was and he said they were starting tomorrow.

Any idea of what the distance or finish time will be tomorrow?

Somehow my first reply got lost, so here goes again . . .

The short answer is, no, I don't, but the typical routes are generally between 30 - 50 miles. Last year there was a sign-up spreadsheet that indicated the route(s). I just contacted Russ Coates from Landry's and he said they are not going to use the spreadsheet this year. Its use fizzled-out after a while last year. The specifics of the ride and the club's involvement are yet to be worked-out, but we like to see decent participation (say, 5 or more) with one or two leading the A and/or B rides. Just show-up to ride or volunteer to lead a ride if you know a good route. If you intend to lead you should have the route on your GPS cycling computer. Might be worth taking a look at the 'sticky' note from last year:viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7988

Is there going to be a sign up sheet for ride leaders again?

Saturday's ride was great. Just what I was looking for. 38.5 miles, and a good mix of terrain. Started off pretty easy, and picked up the pace after. The scheduling of the ride (7 am start) is perfect for those who have family commitments during the weekends and the typical 10 am start would interfere.

In the previous post I mention that Russ Coates conveyed that they are not planning to. It'd be better off if they did IMO.
