King's Tour of the Quabbin - June 16, 2018

KING'S TOUR OF THE QUABBIN
Saturday, June 16, 2018 -- Rutland, Mass. -- presented by Seven Hills Wheelmen
(Yup, this year it's on a Saturday.)

Bicycle 62, 100 or 125 miles on a challenging road route around the Quabbin Reservoir, a pristine jewel in the heart of Massachusetts. Not much traffic -- plenty of hills. This is not a race. Entry fees are $15-$30. Limited to 300 riders.
All rides start from Naquag Elementary School, 285 Main St. (Route 122A), Rutland, Mass.
This is a MassBike Partner Ride. That means when you register for the Quabbin ride, you can join MassBike at a discount.
Seven Hills provides the challenge, and MassBike provides the wind at our backs -- working for a bicycle-friendly environment.

REGISTRATION 6:45-8:45 a.m.
START TIMES:
7 a.m. DOUBLE METRIC CENTURY (200 km = 125 miles)
8 a.m. CENTURY (100 miles)
9 a.m. METRIC CENTURY (100 km = 62 miles)
RAIN OR SHINE
Pre-registration by 11:59 p.m. June 11:
$15 for Seven Hills Wheelmen members, $25 for nonmembers
Registration on day of event:
$25 for members, $30 for nonmembers
SORRY, NO MAIL-IN REGISTRATION.
Entry fee covers cue sheet, arrowed route, snacks.
Helmets are required.

I may be up north that weekend but if around will do it. Century sounds good KT but might be tempted by the double metric.

Double is tempting. This would be double the furthest distance that I've ridden so far - which coincidentally was the Quabbin Race.

Do it! You'll appreciate having others around. Even if you just do the century, you're in for a pleasant feeling! Eat lots.

I'm registered. I specified the double metric because that seems to be what most are leaning toward. We'll see about that day-of

I'll do the same. Pretty cheap reg fee for a good group if I can't make it.

I have to see what I am working but we shall see. If I am able to I might do the 100 or at least the metric.

Officially out... Wife made plans and this being 125 miles I can't confirm what time I'll be home. haha Anyone want to hit up Pac Monadnock early Saturday morning??
