WNR, 6/17 @ 5:30 - 110 Grill, Berlin - "COVID-19 protocol"

Post by KTeves »

Week #2 for the WNR following "COVID-19 Protocol:"

1. The ride will have no more than 10 people, which means if we get more than that we will split up into groups, mostly likely A and B (or more if necessary). I'd like to keep the groups between 6-8. Please listen to the ride captain for instructions (which will be me)
2. You must post up here, no lurking and don't invite people "off-board"
3. You must be an active MRC member to participate in these phase-2 rides so we can take extra precautions
4. Take the obvious step of excluding yourself if any of these pertain to you:

a) You have these symptoms: Cough OR at least TWO of these symptoms: Shortness of breath, Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell, Vomiting, Diarrhea
b) You've had contact with a person with Covid-19
c) You've traveled on a plane in the last 2 weeks

Remember to post up here and make sure your membership is active. Also remember you are responsible for your own choices and actions, and you must decide what is right for you.

In, I am not looking to go all out so I might do B group, but will probably just sit-in with the A group.

I'm thinking 'B' as well (as usual).

Last week on the 'B' we tried to stay together and work as group, basically TTT, to try to stay away from the 'A' group. We nearly made it. It was good training for paceline discipline. No individual efforts / flyers on the hills; stay together. I ended-up with one of my fastest course times in a long time (on the first WNR of the year, no less), and I didn't wreck myself to do it. I'd like to repeat that kind of ride if everyone else is on-board with it.

In.
I'll have the cube socks for people that ordered them, and available for purchase if you don't want to be troubled with filling out a google form.

1 pair for $8
3 pair for $20
6 pair for $30

Last week was awesome! Need more of that, but I am out for this week. Promised my wife that I wouldn't go again until next week.

Kevin, I liked the format of sending the B group off first as well.

From the fly by the B group had a 3 minute head start. We can either adjust based on who shows up, or take whatever gap we get when the last A shows up.

The front of the A group kept getting within a minute of the B group at a the top of the hills but then stopped to regroup (wait for me) and let the gap go back out again.

Hmmm...thought I'd posted but apparently not!

If Rees is taking a log off I may roll with the A's but don't care either way. Whatever make sense for the group sizes.
