Hats off to you. This is very inspiring and I wish you the very best. It is a major undertaking just to put this together never mind the physical aspects. What support are you going to have on the road? Couldn't work it out from my quick look at your website.

Thanks for the support guys. The support and encouragement from everyone is the only thing that will get me through the last few days of the ride. It would be AWESOME if you came and pulled me home on the past day, i am going to need it for sure. However the last day will probably be sometime during the week.... Hopefully it will be after you get out of work. Thanks!

Now you got me thinking...which can be reeeally bad... I have some other questions:
1) do you know your route into MA and home? If we know the route and the towns, then - depending on the size of your "support peloton" - maybe we can coordinate with the police in each town and grab an escort here or there.
2) would you be open for some media coverage? Ex: maybe Lynn S could put in some calls to get some coverage for the ride and thereby give the website some coverage which could translate to a big donation push?
3) what's your plan for sag support? Is someone following you in a car/van with food, clothes, parts, etc..? I work with Ed Kross (RAAM Veteran and BMB winner). I'll ping him and and see if he has some tips to share on multi-100 mile day riding. Add: Maybe Jeff S can extend some tips as well.

Guys thanks for all the support.

Coley, The last two days will be Hyde Park, NY - Windsor Locks, CT. Then Windsor Locks, CT- Holliston, MA. If you wanted to ride both days then that would be AWESOME. I will be starting the ride on March 8th and ending on March 21. So those last 2 days are friday the 20th and saturday the 21.

1) It would be really cool if there was a big group to ride the last day with me, I will certainly be needing all the wheels i can get to draft on. If people don't want to drive down to CT and have a car stuck there then they can meet me where i enter MA at Nichols College in Dudley. From there i go to Oxford, to West Sutton, to Northbridge, to Upton, to Milford, to Holliston. I have the exact directions but they're complex so i won't enter them all on this post.

2) Media Coverage would be great. Half of my goal in this ride is to raise awareness so all coverage is good coverage. I have plans with the Worcester T&G for an article on the week of Feb. 1. And I will hopefully have an article in the Metrowest Daily News soon as well. But any source of media coverage would be awesome. The more the better. Like you said Awareness can translate into donations. Donations are good. And good is what we want. Right brad?

3) I will have a car (possibly an RV if the sponsorship deal works out well or if i can't get enough people to stay with along the way) with me the whole time. It will have an extra bike, wheels, parts, clothes, etc. I will probably meet up with the sag wagon a couple times during the day. I am going to be staying with people when I can, I will be putting a list of where i am looking for housing tomorrow on the blog.

Thanks for all the support. MRC is the best. A "support peleton" on that last day would be amazing. Again, the more the better.

I have a new jar of Perpetuem for you if you're interested. For all my miles, Ed Cross and Mark Longwell are definitely the 2 guys to talk to. They've both been on both sides of the 3000+ ride mile experience. I happy to help anyway I can though.
