Sat Stow 2x Loop - Brick

Post by teamkimball »

Who wants to do the Stow Loop? Corso wants to get in a brick but I am 50/50 on the run portion. Here is the plan:

7am start from Stow parking lot

* 2 Oak hill loops
* 20' min warm up
* 20' @ 95-100%FT or Z4/Z5 with 5' recovery
* 2x20' @ 85%FT or Z3 with 3' recovery
* remainder of ride at 75%FT or Z2
* Intervals are done at constant effort
* no acceleration on hills
* no blowing the group apart on the hills
* no waiting at the top of the hills
* again constant effort
* any regrouping is done during recovery
* bring fenders or ride in the back

Steve -
would love to jump on the back of this - partly due to fitness, the other part no fenders....
need to confirm the ealy morning activities with the youts.
In laymens' terms, looks like a 2-2.5 hr ride, yes?

yes... you should have no issues holding on from the back. You are always in great shape so we should have you pull.

You do realize it is going to be 30 degrees out? and windy?

We are biking at 7:00 at my house in the basement for 2 hours with a run after

not as exciting though, no ice and snow or pebbles and sand hitting you in the face...

Saturday forecast:
7am
21° F
Sunny

if it was 31 I might be in - but 21 after the thaw means definite ice. I don't want to be a candidate the 2009 Gold Brick...
may wait for a little warmer day.

don't wait if I'm not there at 0700

Well, if you go by Oak Hill Road and your frozen, we will be in the basement. Just watch out for the ICE on the driveway :)

Who is actually riding tomorrow? I only see Steve.

Don't really want to ride in these temps but I have too many kids things to do to ride later in the day.

Dave and I had a fun ride... It was a little cool but no ice at all. I hope the rest of you have a chance to get out today. It was fun.
