Massage Therapist recommendations

Post by pwess »

Can anyone recommend a good (sports) massage therapist locally – that being Sudbury/Wayland (home) or Maynard/Stow (work)? If you have someone very close to those towns feel free to suggest – just trying to keep it as close to home or office as time is a premium.

Would love to squeeze it in during lunch if possible (Maynard/Stow area).

Thanks

Hey Paul,

I'll give you two other recommendations.

I've seen a lot of therapists with my neck and everything. Jennifer Taylor (443-4344) is the best I've seen for sure. She is in with Stone and Nathansan chiropractos on Boston Post Rd. I used to work out with Alex and Yuri, two Ukranians who ran their Olympic track/hurdling center in Kiev -- and they thought she was the best. Before you started a training regimen you had to have a massage with Jen and she would give them a complete report about where you are weak, strong, tight; muscle composition, etc. She is definitely sports oriented and is very knowledgable and communicative.

Second have you ever tried Thai massage? There is a guy, Russell, who does it at the spa at Thoreau Club in Concord. Amazing. Its combined stretch/massage. You just lay there on the mats and he manipulates every joint and muscle group (especially lower back, hips) in each plane of motion while stretching and massaging. You will be totally Gumbified.

Give it a whirl once.
If money were no object I'd do it weekly just to get everything reset.
