I was thinking of starting off w/ the boys ( 35+ ), then getting dropped quite quicky before rounding the Q res.
Now, they have posted a Women's race as well .
I most likely can not hang on to any field, but would love to get those quads hurting for 63 miles.
Any interests ??

No, Its a 63 mile road race- no tri bars, or bar ends. Would need a jersey w/ sleeves ( short or long )
Since there is a Women's Category and if they have day of reg you can get a one day USCF license which will help cover ofr race insurance ? 10 extra bucks. You would be a Category four W .
You may be able to get in a year long USCF road license, so you can do some other road races
This is your type of terrain , rolling, rolling, rolling : )

Pattie, after riding with you last Sunday I'd say you could easily handle the Cat 4 women's field. Give it a try!

Opps , Sorry . The Quabbin road race is April 26th 2009.
There is also another race that you may like , Jiminy Peak 60km May 2nd out in Western MA.
Pattie I have only ridden w/ you one time , you seem to love a challange !
As Alan indicated , you would do really well in the Women 4 !
We should have a small clinic for help w/ cornering , drafting, sprints etc.
There is also some rumor of a Womens cat3/4 race series, but I have not found the site yet.
These would be great training for your Iron(Wo)man's

Sounds great.. Maybe I should do a couple of smaller road races before I do that since I have never been in one!

Unfortunatly, I think the spring clinic is closed for registrants, but I sent an email inquiring. So exciting, registered for my first cycling license. 
Now, just got to find a right shifter that doesn't cost an arm and a leg..
