Saturday Morning 7/11 6:00 Stow

Post by gcdavid »

I need to ride 4 hours (ish). Going easy. Open to route. Thinking of the Climb to the Foothills route (68 miles):

http://www.crw.org/cgi-bin/cues2htm.pl?id=288

Done it plenty of times. Goes around Wachusett Reservoir. Cut out the bit east of Stow, and this map shows the route

But, I am open to other options.

The route is arrowed (not that it matters, since people seem to ignore them)

Unfortunately, the course is marked with lots of arrows that look the same in the same color :?

Looks like a good route. Is the start point over there by Hanscom as your map shows or at S. Acton train station per the cue sheet?

I know they must "all look alike" to you, but as you can see the arrows are clearly different from one another:

I'm in. This is starting from Stow plaza, correct?

I will try to pay better attention to the arrows this time.

Only if we need to translate the hieroglyphs into Greek. Otherwise I think we're good.

Only at one point. We took Oak Hill Road down instead of the other road because it is so bad at the bottom. Might have missed you there.

Nope. This was climb to the foothills. Different route than climb to the clouds. I did that last week on Friday. Climb to the Foothills originates at South Acton train station, and you follow and inverted yellow T.

Next race is Ironman Lake Placid. Finally.
