Saturday 7AM "flat" ride to Concord
I'm doing a "flat" ride to Concord on Saturday morning, possibly through Carlisle or around Hanscom, starting a 7AM Saturday near Solomon Pond Mall. Intention is to ready a moderate, steady tempo on what seems to be the flatest ride that I can find around here, so as to leave something in reserve for George Hill on Sunday. Should be about 55-60 miles in about 3.5-4 hours. Anyone interested?

Joe: I've been gone for the last 3-4 Friday's...and it was raining like crazy this morning...so I haven't been doing it. Next week it's ON, though.

Doug, are you starting at Giuseppi's?
Re: Saturday 7AM "flat" ride to Concord
Doug, I wouldn't mind joining up with you on that route. I can't drive to the start, but could ride from Sudbury to meet you along the way. Or if your route takes you through Sudbury, I can jump on as you go by.

If it's at Giuseppe's Grill (or thereabouts) where we start, it's only about 13 miles from here in Maynard and my plan would be to ride there for a 7 a.m. start and then play it by ear when to head home.

Alan I will ride out with you to met this ride if you straingten i tout with Doug.

Perfect, see you then!

Bruce, since Doug has not resurfaced yet, let's plan on a 7:30 start from Atkinson. If we still haven't heard and set up a meeting spot with that ride, we can just do our own Concord-Carlisle loop.

Sorry guys. With no responses by the time I got back from dinner, I asssumed I was on my own. Now it's a bit late to try to hook up.
Looks like a great day for riding. Hope everyone enjoys.

Alan -- sounds good.
Re: Saturday 7AM "flat" ride to Concord
Russ -- do you want to meet up with us?
Re: Saturday 7AM "flat" ride to Concord
I was circling the Giuseppe's Grill parking lot when you posted this.Bruce wrote:Russ -- do you want to meet up with us?

I chased down one cyclist who rode by, thinking it might be Doug and by that time it was past 7 a.m. so I rode back through Hudson and past Honey Pot Orchards to Atkinson pool on the possibility of crossing paths with you and Alan along the way. Got there about 7:45.
Doubled back past Honey Pot, Stow Acres CC, across 117 and past Delaney Project, Minuteman Airfield then home. About 46 miles.
Hope you guys got in a good ride!

Russ -- that's too bad. We were at Atkinson at 7:30!
I think Doug decided to sleep in:)

Again, sorry. I thought I was on my own until just before 7AM, and then it was too late. Had a great ride to Concord. Hope everyone enjoyed the nice day.
Next time, I'll know to just post a time and start location and just see who shows...
