Whatabout doing your own training camp with friends?
That's the ultimate way to keep the cost WAY low.

I've gone to Skyline Dr. in VA in the March timeframe (stayed in the town of Front Royal)
Drive down = inexpensive.
Skyline is an awesome scenic road in the Blue Ridge Mtns that has miles and miles of climbing and descsending - can't get similar around here. (100+ miles in length)
Blue Ridge Pkwy same... (460+ miles in length)

I was in the process of putting together a trip exactly the same as Mark suggested but staying in Bedford VA and riding the BlueRidge parkway. When I went for approval from the missus she said why you going to VA in march the weather would be much better in SoCal. I didn't hesitate for a minute and am now working on a 5 day trip to San Diego. Flight costs are pretty good $380 all in (including bike). Can't wait.

It is looking like I'll be headed to NC on March 19th and racing the GNCC in Morganton on the 21st. From there I am planning on heading to Asheville and riding the Blue Ridge and Pisgah for the remainder of the week. If people will be in VA during that time frame or feel like heading to NC there is the possibility of setting up a little MRC training camp. I will have some room in the truck and trailer for bikes for those who would prefer to fly and forgo the 14 hour drive.
