SQB June 6

Post by PJ McQuade »

9:00 AM, meet behind Roche Bros in Westboro. Attack the hills, regroup, moderate on the flats and rollers. Similar route as before. As always, a lap on the Purgatory RR course will be included.

I might be in for Sunday. I need to do a long ride for my B2B prep.

I would definitely be up for Sunday, but is anyone up for starting earlier? I just can't swing 9 AM with all the kids activities.

I really would like to do the loop, since I am probably going to sign up for Purgatory and want to experience the course.

Hey guys,
I'd be interested in joining you on Sunday. Are you meeting at Roche Bros?

This is the Roche Bros about a block or two off or route 30, right?

The grim forecast had me worried before this ride, but glad got it in. Len, free up your schedule for the Purgatory RR - definitely a great course for you.

Lots o' fun today guys, thanks for the ride PJ and Carl. Great route, the Purg race looks like a joy. I'll see if I can get someone to babysit for 5 kids under 10 (only 3 are mine) for 5 hours.
Riding conditions were better than could be expected and even better when I got home - it poured as I was taking the lawn mower out of the shed. Bingo!
Again next weekend?

nice ride today. While cleaning my bike afterwards I noticed water sloshing around in my front wheel. Somehow water had gotten inside the rim ( around the spokes??). I had to drop the pressure and let a bunch of water out :)

I don't know about the rest of you, but it was pretty dicey going down Mendon road. 35+ mph, raining cats and dogs, I can't see a thing, and a twisty decent!

Go Celtics!
