Not to early to start thinking about Battenkill

Post by taudep »

With registration 5 weeks away, and the info up on BikeReg, I figured I'd through this up here, even though we're in the midst of CX season.

Some quick observations:
1) Looks like the PROs and Amateurs are running on the same day. This is awesome. My first year doing it, it ran like this, and there were MANY spectators out in every little town we rode through (compared to last year).

2) Looks like it's on a SUNDAY this year. I think it was a Saturday for us last year?

Don't forget, you must register on December 21st if you wanna get in. Lots of us made it last year on the wait list, but it's probably best not to risk it.

Even though it's not a race that really suits me, I'm planning on doing it again.

If I decide to give this a shot, am I correct to assume that I'll be the only MRC Cat 5 under 35 racing?

Matt, you might be, but don't worry too much about that. I did it by myself the first year and it was still a blast.

It'll be a good course for you, short, punchy climbs...

I bet you could slide into the over 35 race with us.
