commute route advice

Post by carlshimer »

I'm taking a new job in lovely Waltham. I'm plotting out the possible bike commute options. The tricky bit is a) getting around Framingham and b) navigating the nastiness around Winter st. I could avoid winter st. by going around the reservoir.

Here's what I got so far... Anyone know the roads in this area?

That's a tough commute, esp. as you get closer to your work as you probably know from driving Rte 20 in Weston (very stop-and-go) and the last bit there as you have to cross over 95 in Waltham. Going around Cambridge Reservoir would add a coupla more miles and help you dodge the traffic on Winter St. Bonus ball for going that way: a nice little climb on Trapelo as you finish the eastward part of your trip around the Res.
