Friday late afternoon ride

Post by RPerson »

I'm 50/50 on doing a late afternoon ride tomorrow. Plan would be to leave Hudson at 4 and make it out around the reservoir and back before (total) dark. I'll be sporting lights just in case. Any interest? Decision will come later tonight.

I'd definitely be interested especially since the weekend is looking like a wash out. I don't have any lights, but if we leave at 4 I don't think we'll need them.

OK, unless I oversleep in the morning, we're on. 4:10 at the rotary in the center of Hudson or 4:20 at the Park N' Ride at 62 and 495. Tonight by 6 o'clock I would have had my lights on so let's roll on time. Hope to see you guys.

I'm in. I will meet you guys on rt62 at ParknRide or a little further west at Sawyer Hill Rd. Do not wait for me if I'm not there.

Rich, Where were you?

Bill and I rode counter-clockwise around the reservoir. I rolled back into Hudson right at 6. Probably a little to dark to be out on the roads, but I stayed clear of 62 for most of the way home so there weren't many cars.

I have no idea how I missed you guys. I was at the rotary from 4:09 to 4:15 and the park n ride from about 4:20 to 4:25. I was also going counter clockwise and rolled into my driveway at 6:03. Oh well... next time. Wind sucked in a few spots out there huh?

You must have been right behind us the entire time! I left the rotary at 4:10 assuming I missed you and you were at the Park-N-Ride already. We waited there for a while then rolled out. Probably 2 seconds before you showed up. I pulled off of 70 at Mile Hill Rd to avoid 62 traffic since it was getting a little to dark out for my liking. I will say that the darkness made me dig a little deeper then I usually would have on the ride home. Felt good today compared to chasing you around last weekend. ;)

That is absolutely hysterical... The whole way around, I kept seeing bike tire marks coming out of anywhere that there was water on the side of the road and I figured I was chasing someone. Apparently it was you guys. With the few long stretches of road along there, I'm amazed I didn't even see you guys. The competitive side of me is really bummed I didn't catch you :) I'm just gonna tell myself you had a 10 minute head start :)

Sorry Rich. Andrew tried to give you a call a little after 4:20 but got your voice mail. I can't hear my phone either as I had 4 missed calls when I got home. Ooops. Hopefully we can get out sometime on Sunday.
