FMR details

Post by mcsmith »

Hi, if the FMR is going this week, I'd like to join. Could someone post details - start time and place, how long it usually goes and a route map, if possible?

Thanks,
Matt

Heya Matt,

We usually start at 5:30 at Giuseppi's Grill / Taza D'Oro which is a about 1 mile south of the Solomon Pond Mall on South Street. Takes less than 90 minutes to complete. We usually pop into Taza for a coffee afterwards.

Here's the usual route, although we will sometimes ride it backwards or alter it to one or two other variations from time to time.

Russ: I think the backwards route has been ix-nayed.

Matt: This is a no-drop ride as we wait at the top of each hill. However, it's generally a really hard effort up each hill. Start time is 5:30, with no 5 minute wait rule. We all have jobs to get to...after coffee, of course.

Slightly off topic, but I did an alternate FMR this morning where I went up green street, over to central, up Linden, down mile hill to the reservoir, and back to Barnes on 62. Pretty nice.

In any case the alternate is here: http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=266645
