Hi,
I mentioned the Deerfield ride to some people yesterday. Here are the details for anyone interested.

I've done this ride the last 4 years, and it's great fun. I know there was a group of MRCers that did it last year too.
I'm signed up for the 180K, camping out the night before.
Who else is in?

I was wondering who is doing this ride? Registration closes in a couple of days...

I would like to. I have a verbal commitment from my better half but I will need to confirm.

Jorge, Steve Newlands and I are doing the 115km. I don't think I would enjoy the 180km. Maybe next year.

I'm actually doing it .... do you need climbing gears? I've heard both yes and no. Also - Cross bike or road with fatter tires?

In for the 115K. I recommend a cross bike. My bike has a compact crank with a 34x27. That worked last year.

I recommend bringing a couple of spare tubes on the ride ( and a patch kit of course).
Re: D2R2 2011
I will be there this year for the 115k with Mike Umbrell of old club glory and Steve Newlands from Frank Spoke and Wheel.
