Jan 1/2 - long winter pace ride
Jan 1/2 - long winter pace ride
I am looking for company on a long ride (2-4 hours) at a moderate winter pace. Likely starting spot would be Berlin Park n Ride, but willing to drive to central location. Likely starting time mid-morning or later, but I have no schedule worries, so I will be happy go along with a consensus decision to ride earlier. Chime in early so we can solidify location and time.
Re: Jan 1/2 - long winter pace ride
I might be in. If I am going to go for 3 hrs, I can't start too late. So for other potential posters, I would probably opt to start at 9 AM.

Im in. I'm flexible on time, but later means warmer weather.

Might join you guys. Moderate pace sounds good as the bike hasn't seen light of day in a bit. Final word on time/place?

Re: Jan 1/2 - long winter pace ride
Hi guys,
I just got back into town. I have not been able to get my right shifter problem solved yet, so I'll be riding my 27-pounder tomorrow. So I would like to keep it reasonably flat (reservoir loop?), unless you guys are willing to wait patiently at the tops of the hills. Since John needs to start early maybe he can meet us after riding for a while and we can start a bit later. We could all meet at Berlin P n R at 10:00 if that works for all, then as part of our ride we could escort John back to Acton.
Happy New Year to all.

Alan, the lot is located on central st, Berlin, yes? Start time it good - should be in mid 30s.

I'm in for the early start with John. 9am sounds good, where do you want to start John? I'm coming up from Holliston so let's meet somewhere between us and head toward Berlin (unless you're in Berlin).

PJ, it's on Rt. 62 about 50 yds west of Rte 495. Looks like it's called Coolidge Rd.PJ McQuade wrote:Alan, the lot is located on central st, Berlin, yes? Start time it good - should be in mid 30s.
See you all at 10:00.
Re: Jan 1/2 - long winter pace ride
@Len: I will be riding from Acton so I will start even earlier than 9 AM. Probably best just to meet you at the Berlin Park n Ride at 9 AM. I will assume that unless you post something different.
@Alan & all the rest: Len and I will meet you back at the Park N Ride at 10 AM. There is a good chance I will just be heading home from there, so if you want to ride me home before the Reservoir Loop, I would appreciate it. Otherwise, I understand and I can just ride home. We will see how I feel.
