Sunday afternoon 3 hr ride
I'm going to try to do 3 hours, from 1-4 tomorrow during the "warm" part of the day. Highs in the upper 20's, so it's still going to be cold. I'll probably end up riding to Concord, and doing the Hanscom-Bedford loop. I'd be happy to pickup riders along the way, or change routes to accommodate.
All of this is subject to change if any significant snow falls this afternoon. That's not looking too likely at the moment, though.

Re: Sunday afternoon 3 hr ride
Doug, I am pretty sure I will be riding tomorrow around that time, so I'll probably join you, or have you slide by my place on the way to Concord. Have to double check the social calendar to make sure I have nothing else that conflicts. Will post later.

Hi - New to the forum and group. I am interested joining and would be leaving from Wayland. Where are you starting the ride?

David (& anyone else),
I'll be doing the same route as I did on 2/5 shown here on Strava: http://app.strava.com/activities/3908436
You can pick a point along this route, and jump in anywhere you want. Strava will give you the mileage from my start; estimate a 17-18 mph pace to that point for me and time your arrival. If you tell me where to look for you, I'll even stop & wait...for a few anyway.
(Alan: this route turns left just before your house and goes past the Rec Center and over past Bruce's house.)
Start point for me is my house: twenty-five Wyman in Marlboro if you want to start here.
Disclaimer: If it's freezing-ass cold, I reserve the right to turn around in Concord.

Doug, I will meet you at your house at 1. I would also like to reserve the right to stop and change my toe warmers.
Re: Sunday afternoon 3 hr ride
Hi- I will meet you between Hudson and Haskell field. I will do my best to time it right, but no worries if we miss each other.

Meet you at the same point as last week at 1:20
Re: Sunday afternoon 3 hr ride
Depending on the swelling in my knee, I will shoot to join y'all probably early in the ride. Will post up in the morning.
Re: Sunday afternoon 3 hr ride
Doug, I'll be heading towards you on Hudson Road and hope to meet you a few miles west of my place.
Re: Sunday afternoon 3 hr ride
I'm out. Going for a run.

Re: Sunday afternoon 3 hr ride
Strava gave me a suffer score of 234 (extreme) for this ride. A *little* bit harder than I intended.

Carl, I hope that's not on a scale of 100.carlshimer wrote:Strava gave me a suffer score of 234 (extreme) for this ride. A *little* bit harder than I intended.
The reason I split off (sort of) from the group in Concord to head home was that I knew that if we kept that pace I'd be slowing down the group in not too long from then. I got home a little after 2 hours of riding and was pretty tired. You must have had about 4 hours in the saddle.
