Post by rusto »

... watch the Paris-Roubaix then kit up and come out at 2:30 pm at Stow Plaza after it has warmed up a bit for a 2 hour mostly flat recovery ride. Bring your Cadbury Eggs if you want.

Yes I'd like to join you, but my 11:30 easter party in Belmont could spoil it. I'll post up close to ride time.

Negotiating with my wife. Could we delay the start to 2:30 PM? That would help me and sounds like it would help Jeremy. Recovery pace only please!

I'm going to try and make it. Any idea of the course? Maybe I could cut in somewhere if I'm late.

thanks,

My window of opportunity just opened (baby is sleeping!) so I'm going now, solo. Have fun.

Sorry we missed you Toby. There was a little hiccup at the start when I arrived at 2:30, in my car (wife and daughter with me) and talked John and Matt into riding over to my house in Maynard so I could swap out the car for a bike. Decent low rev. ride followed.

I saw johns ride on strava, I missed you guys by about 3-4 minutes, and went down red acre farm road hoping to catch you. It was all ok, I wanted something a little more than a recovery ride and I ended up getting it trying to catch you. Then seeing I was on pace for my best hour (watts), decided to go for it.
Then trying to look at a great ride on the side of the road, accidentally cleared my data, and may have yelled a few bad words within earshot of an egg hunt. But I still got a fantastic threshold ride out of it, which is what matters most. So all in all it was a good day.
