Tuesday Morning Ride 4/17, 6am
Tuesday Morning Ride 4/17, 6am
Repeating the loop we did last Thursday, 25 miles, lots of elevation. Hoping to link some of the climbs and lengthen them to solid 6-10 minute efforts with regrouping. Berlin Park n Ride, clip in at 6am. See last week's post for a basic loop map.

Most probably in. I'll either be early, or not coming, so don't wait.

There's no waiting on weekday rides, as is evidenced by me being 3 minutes late last week and chasing for 20 minutes to catch you guys!ahamilton wrote:...so don't wait.

I thought you rode backwards until you met us...
Re: Tuesday Morning Ride 4/17, 6am
Chris, could you repost the route? I'd like to pop it into my Garmin.
Re: Tuesday Morning Ride 4/17, 6am
Will do tonight. Although the Garminism of my routes has been *suspect* lately....

Here's the loop. RideWithGPS has been failing me lately though:

Brett you should join MRC (oops I hope Jerry doesn't see this, although he should too :) )
Re: Tuesday Morning Ride 4/17, 6am
I love this loop, but I think we are going to have a problem with parking if - I mean, when - it gets more popular. When we got back today there weren't many open slots in the commuter parking lot. I was wondering if we should look for a place close to the start where parking won't be frowned upon by non-cyclists. Berlin center would be great, because we could completely avoid Rt 62, but the aerial views don't show any large parking areas. There seems to be quite a few diagonal slots in front of the church on Woodward, though.
Any thoughts?

Could we ask Berlin Orchards? We'd be out of there long before they even open...
Re: Tuesday Morning Ride 4/17, 6am
Colonial candies is an exit north of the park and ride, 117 and 495. No one is buying candy that early in the morning, usually.

There's the patio furnature place just up the street, too.
However, the place least likely to irritate anyone is the "Big Box" mall just down 62 towards Hudson Center. It's a big dirt pile on Google maps, but I'm pretty sure its finished by now. I haven't seen it, but I'm guessing there's acres of parking.

It's finished enough. There is a Lowe's and a BJ's (no juvenile comments, please) up there with mega parking, but we'd have to ride on Rt 62 a lot farther than we do now, which is a PITA at that time of the morning.swawersik wrote:There's the patio furnature place just up the street, too.

Doesn't "Park n Ride" mean park your car and ride your bike?

Maybe if we all park down the end, out of sight out of mind?
