The moto official in M45+ was downright dangerous and aggressive. There are far better ways to enforce the yellow line rule than dive bombing racers. Outside of that (and I guess this crazy pin shortage) the race was absolutely fantastic.

Crank, was that the woman on the BMW w/all the Hella lights or the guy on the Yamaha Seca 650?

The guy on the Yamaha 650 -- he's Danger Boy. I *hope* it isn't the same guy who was at Purgatory a couple years back, as his actions were exactly the same. Numerous complaints were levied at that time and I can't imagine it is the same guy. Enough grown men were fearful of their safety that he should have never continued this job.

But then again this was all too familiar. Racing up the yellow line, dodging oncoming traffic by moving into the racing field, nudging with his handlebars (contacting the hip/butt area)...really dicey moves. We all know the line rule, we all know when someone abuses it, but this is the wrong way to approach enforcement. Clearly he's the standout and not the norm -- officials are needed and appreciated -- so I would think that unless this area is desperately short on refs then he should be sent down or at least strictly observed by a supervisor to shut this behavior down.

After the last race, that guy told me how he CRASHED with a cyclist during a race a while back.

Hmm...not cool. I suppose that's 0.0001% better than claiming a cyclist crashed into him, right? Maybe I'm giving the guy too much credit.

Reading the race reports. Nice job MRC !

Got a chuckle out of the report of a rogue racer with non-descript kit and hairy legs stealing a podium spot.

Quick story. At Hilltowns one year some dude nobody knew shows up and crushes the field. I roll up to him after the race to congratulate and I notice not only does he have no team logo on his jersey, hairy legs AND Cut-off denim jeans on !! I say to him " Nice job today, you should get some real bibs to race in" to which he replies. "Why, when i can crush you wearing these?"

Watch out for those dudes with the hairy legs and the Nashbar purchased kits!
