Harvard General Store Ride

Post by Robd2 »

Just an FYI for the group. Looks like Ride Studio has done a great job organizing.

I may try to intercept the 8:15 train headed to Harvard.

This sounds cool.
Post up if you want to meet at Stow Plaza or Harvard center at 7:30 and do a 2 hour loop ending at the Harvard General Store and then join-in on the RSC ride.

IN. I'm going to ride from home, join the MRC contingent wherever and whenever...then probably bail and ride home after the rendezvous & snack at the store. Unless the 31 mile loop heads south toward my house, I think I will have had enough by then.

Someone make the call on when & where to start. Stow?

Doug I'm scheming to join you from your house if it's not too early (late night on tap tonight). Let me know your intended departure time once the plans are locked in.

Sounds good, I'll let you guys plan the pre ride ride, I'm going to try and get some steady state work in before the 31miler that departs Harvard at 10:15.

This ride sounds cool, but I'm a little intimidated about riding with a group I don't know - will it be a really strict paceline type of ride? I'm assuming you guys will ride in the faster group 19mph? Anyone doing the moderate 16-17 pace?

How about we meet at the winery at the bottom of the hill at 7:30, head out towards Wachusett and time things to get back to the Harvard General Store at 9:45?

For the most part I'm in. Although I'm not sure I want to ride for 3 hours before the group ride, seems like a lot. The fast group ride doesn't leave until 10:15.

Just wondering, does anyone want to do the group ride then tack on some miles after to take advantage of warmer weather? Just throwing it out there

This sounds like a good plan to me. It sounds like there may be an "early bonus miles" contingent before meeting at the Store, and a "later bonus miles" contingent. It's not necessary that we all agree...

@Chris Pare...if this plan sticks, I'll be rolling at 7AM.

OK I'm in for the 7:30 plan at the winery. The Harvard Store route stays pretty local so if I run out of gas I can just bail.

Gary can you confirm we're on for the 7:30 meet?

Confirming a 7:30 am rendezvous at the winery/bottom of the hill.
Should be a good time.
