Cafe ride sunday 4/28

Post by Smudger »

Any Quabbin racers or others interested in joining me for a recovery cafe ride tomorrow? 20 - 30 miles nice and steady, cafe stop then 10 miles home.

9am start from Stowed Plaza. Cafe stop in Concord, Carlisle or Hudson depending on who joins. Start time is negotiable as I have no other plans

I'm in. I don't necessarily need recovery. Maybe we should do the bullet train. Your call tho. Plaza at 9?

Short ride, steady pace, and cafe stop right in my wheelhouse for today. In.

Wow. Anyone who avoided this "recovery" ride in fear of not getting a workout missed out on a decent workout. Maybe it's 'cause I'm slow and spent too many hours on a ladder yesterday, but we spent a lot of time @ 25+ mph on false flats and rollers, which seemed like a ride from which I'll need recovery instead of a recovery ride. I limped the last 10 miles home at a snail's pace after I split off in Concord center. Really was looking forward to coffee, but had to get home for more painting fun.

With Smudger, there is no recovery pace. Mr. Cramer taught me that.

It wasn't quite as advertised but it was fun. Alan you did miss the best bit of the ride at Nashoba Bakery
