Wed June 5 -- MRC Reunion Ride from Stow 5:45
Wed June 5 -- MRC Reunion Ride from Stow 5:45
The rumor is true! We've had good interest in an MRC "Old Timer's" Reunion Ride. It is scheduled for next Wed, June 5th leaving from Stow at 5:45. Classic loop to Oak, Prospect and Barre Hills.
The ride is open to everyone, but the plan is for the alumni(nae)to stay together as a group at an inclusive fitness ride pace. No drop. Might have to make some prostate relieving pit stops:)
There will be points for the oldest uniform!! Triple points if it still fits.
Plan to congregate for beer and dinner afterwards. There is a chinese restaurant in the Stow plaza or the Pleasant Cafe is a short drive in Maynard Ctr.
If the interest is there, I plan to schedule some more classic MRC weekday rides this summer -- e.g. Chocksett Inn (Sterling) to Wa Wa, Hopkinton Center.
I've heard from several suspects so far, but would like to enlist your help in reaching out to racers of yore. PM me with e-mail addresses.
See you next Wednesday!!

Is that day one or two?
Is it still at Prouty?
Do they still let you wimp out and do the TJ instead of the vault?

That's on day two, and I have no idea where Prouty is since this my first one haha (I THINK my coach mentioned something about Holy Cross? I'm not sure?)michaelcole wrote: Is that day one or two?

Hah, and yes they do. Which is fine by me, because I'm actually not terrible at the triple... and I am at the vault...

The person that wears the oldest MRC kit on the ride gets to drink for free!

First I have to find the road bike, then probably repair it, then try to remember how to ride it, so if get all that done.... IN!
