8/14 WNR 5:30pm Stow Plaza

Post by swawersik »

The weather for Wednesday night looks great, so let's get (at least) one more WNR in before CX season arrives.

As a default, we can do the usual Stow loop. Or, if we're feeling adventurous, we can switch things up. Some options include:

1. FMR (or FMR plus) on Wednesday night
2. TTT practice on the Matt Mitchell Challenge course
3. A different course leaving from the Berlin P&R

Chime in with attendance and course preference(s).

*****UPDATE: we'll do the usual Stow Loop (see below)***********

Responses so far seem to mostly support the standard Stow loop, so let's just do that.

See you at Stow Plaza @ 5:30. If there's a group coming from the Berlin P&R, please let us know.

BTW, despite the lack of interest in the TTT loop, I'd still advocate some practice "spelling about." If you don't know what this means, don't worry, we'll teach you.

I'm not familiar with the Berlin group . . . Does it start and finish with the rest of the group at the Stow Shopping Center? Or does it hook-up & break off mid-ride?

Evin -- Yes it hooks up and breaks off mid ride. Mark and I (and maybe others?) will be meeting at the Park n Ride commuter lot on Rt 62 at 5pm where we'll head over and meet the stow group en route. The parking lot is 100 meters or so west of 495, right off exit 26. For the record, I'm planning to head back toward Stow with the group and then peel off to Berlin from there, which makes for a lengthier (55ish miles) ride. Mark may or may not be joining me back to Stow. If he doesn't join me to Stow he can lead you back to Berlin (from the "normal" break off point) for 40 miles total.

It sounds more confusing than it really is. FYI starting and ending in Stow is around 35 miles.

I've been battling a virus the last few days so I'll be riding at an endurance pace. Which means I'd be happy to either lead a b group, or if necessary, watch you guys ride off into the sunset. Yes it pains me to say this but if it was up to my wife I wouldn't be riding at all. No worries either way, I could ride this route blindfolded...

This will be the first time I've touched my bike in two weeks, so I'll be keeping Jeremy company (if I can even do that).
